Catherene Buttry Greene fell asleep in death of apoplexy at her home on Pea Ridge February 6th, 1915. Had been an invalid for three years. She was born in Tennessee June 10th, 1867. She was born of God in 1880 and united with Trent's Chapel Baptist Church in Tennessee. In 1886 her church membership was placed with Twelve Corners Baptist Church of which she was a faithful and consistent member till death. After a short service, conducted by the writer, which was attended by a large concourse of friends, the remains were laid to rest in Buttram's Chapel Cemetery. On Dec. 9th, 1880 she was married to Mr. Jess Greene. He, with nine daughters and three grandchildren, are bereft of a loving wife, mother and grandmother. The children are: Mrs. Prone, Mrs. Kellar, Martha and Daisy Greene, all of Fort Smith; Mrs. Brown of Avoca; Lillie, Neale, Minnie and Lena Greene. These sorrow not as those who have no hope but they take comfort in expecting to see the face of the dear mother on the resurrection morning. John Hall.
