Verna Mae Wilson was born November 8, 1925 in Mt. George, AR a daughter to James Franklin Bradford and Annie Mae Lindsey McNew. Ms. Wilson passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 with her family gathered around her at the age of 91.
Verna was a member of the Morrilton Baptist Temple. She loved going to church and being part of the worship services. She worked as an OB Nurse at St. Vincent Hospital here in Morrilton for 43 years. She loved her job and loved the people she worked with.
During her spare time she loved quilting and playing word search. She made some of the most beautiful quilts ever.
Ms. Wilson is preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother and one sister.
She leaves to cherish her memories two children: Jackie Wilson and wife Rosemary of Hattieville; Anita Reynolds of Hattieville; Six grandchildren: Kevin Wilson, Craig Wilson, Kyle Wilson; Cindy Upchurch, Suzanne Stone, and Sandra Sponer; fifteen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren along with a host of many other family and friends.
Visitation will be from 6:00PM till 8:00PM, Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the funeral home chapel. Funeral Services will be 10:00AM, Friday, August 11, at the funeral home with Bro. Larry Black and Bro. Kenneth Strickland officiating. Interment will follow in Old Salem Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Wilson, Kevin Wilson, Craig Wilson, Jacob Cox, Dusty Massingill, Kaleb Duncan and Jared Sponer. Honorary Pallbearers will be Eddie Reynolds, Jason Sponer, Alan Upchurch and Freddie Johnson.
