SAGER, Thomas Edward - Thomas Edward Sager, 76 years old, widely known farmer of the Prairie Creek community seven miles east of Rogers and a life-long resident of Benton county, was found dead near his home about 2 o'clock Friday afternoon apparently the victim of a heart attack. Mr. Sager left home during the morning to chop wood about a quarter of a mile from his home. When he failed to return at noon a search was started and his body was found about 2 o'clock. He apparently had been dead several hours when the body was discovered. Funeral services were held at the First Baptist church Sunday afternoon. Burial was in the Rogers cemetery with J.W. Bryant in charge. Mr. Sager is survived by his widow, Mrs. Rachel Puckett Sager, four sons, Carl of Hugo, Okla., Cloe of Little Rock and Hugh and Albert of Rogers; 4 daughters, Mrs. Julius Lancaster, Oklahoma City, Mrs. Carl Atchison, Rogers, Mrs. Otto Clark, Hugo, Okla. and Miss Hersey Sager at the family home; 2 brothers, Simon Sager of Rogers and Louis G. Sager of Kansas City; one sister, Mrs. Dora Conley, Merrimac, Okla. and 12 grandchildren.
