SAGER, Macy - {extracts from obituary read at the funeral service by Rev. Lark} Mrs. Macy Sager was born on Middle Fork of White river, Washington county, Ark. January 11, 1833 and died at the home of her son, J.S. Sager, at Rogers, Ark. Mrs. Sager was married to C.C. Sager April 1, 1856 at War Eagle Mills, this county, spending most of her life near Pace's Chapel, except her latter years which were spent with her children. To this union were born six children, five of whom are alive today. The living are: T.E. Sager of Prairie Creek, this county; Mrs. W.L. Conley, Valley, Okla.; Mrs. R.P. Pace, near Rogers; J.S. Sager, Rogers and L.G. Sager, Muskogee, Oklahoma. It is interesting to note that there are 24 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The Godly are a fruitful tree and their seed do not die out on the earth for their roots are deep in God in Heaven. Mother Sager's husband died February 13, 1872. Mother Sager was converted and joined the Methodist church in 1859. Hers has been a quiet life of Christian constancy and consecration which was deeper and fuller and sweeter at the day of her death than when she first knew the Lord. We will all be better, happier and more God-like for Mother Sager having lived among us.
