John Luther Bryant, 38 years old, of Leek Creek Community, Crawford county Arkansas, died Thursday, October 5, 1967. Born April 9. 1929 at Lee Creek. Mr. Bryant was the son of the late John E. Bryant and Mrs. Marie Crabtree Bryant Pridgeon. He was a lifelong resident of Lee Creek and a member of the Assemblly of God church.

Survivors are his wife, Lillian; a son Luther Lynn and a daughter Evelyn Pauline. His mother, Mrs. Marie Pridgeon of Lee Creek; three brothers Lewis, Claude and Bobby; a step-brother, Eulis of Chester; three sisters, Shirley of Kasnsas City, Missouri, Myrtle of Shady Cove, Oregon and Lorene of Chester, Arkansas.

The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Monday at Baryant Cemetery near Lee Creek with Cecil Ramey, the officiating minister. Burial was in Bryant cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home.

Casket bearers were Jimmie Cluck, Emmett Cluck, Earl Deffenbaugh, Matt Barnes, Fonzo Lowery and Jay Freeman.
