Bert Montgomery, 72, of Rogers, died Jan. 16 in Rogers Memorial Hospital. Born Feb. 22, 1905, at Cordell, Okla., he was the son of George Burton and Mattie Smith Montgomery, a member and former deacon of First Baptist Church in Rogers and a retired monument designer.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ila Mae Smoot Montgomery of the home; three brothers, Charlie Montgomery of California, Elmer Montgomery of Folton, Nev., and Glenn Montgomery of Cordell, Okla.; three sisters, Mrs. Leo Green and Mrs. Virgie Hutcherson both of Cordell, Okla., and Mrs. Ola Frances of Mountain View, Okla.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in Sisco Chapel. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery under the direction of Sisco.
