HALEY, Charles A. - Mr. C.A. Haley, seventy-four years of age, passed away at his home in Springtown Tuesday afternoon. Funeral services will be held at the home Thursday afternoon and burial will take place in the Springtown cemetery.

[from Springtown} Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Baptist church for C.A. Haley who passed away at his home here Tuesday afternoon. Out of town relatives to attend the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Haley of Seminole, Okla.; Mr. and Mrs. Charley Haley, Chandler, Okla.; Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Haley, Asher, Okla.; Mrs. Belle Maynard, Arthur Maynard and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fenson of Kansas City, Mo.

Charles A. Haley was born in Baxter county, Arkansas Sept. 21, 1858. Bro. Haley was married to Nancy E. Henry in 1881 and to this union were born ten children, six of whom with their mother preceded him in death. He was married to Sarah Francis Oels in 1901, to this union were born five children and two of them preceded him in death. He professed faith in Christ at an early age and became a member of the Missionary Baptist church. He was a man of high character and strictly honest in his dealings with men. He was a devoted christian and well grounded in the truths of the Gospel of Christ. The deceased had been a resident of Springtown and vicinity for eleven years, moving here from Baxter county. He departed this life January 10, 1933 at the age of seventy-four years, three months and twenty days. His funeral at the Springtown Baptist church was well attended and his body was laid to rest in the Springtown cemetery to await the resurrection. He leaves to mourn his loss his loving companion, Mrs. C.A. Haley; five daughters: Mrs. Will Camp, East Alton, Illinois; Mrs. Dan Armstrong, Corpus Christi, Texas; Mrs. Jack Reed, Mrs. George Leslie and Miss Alma Haley, all of the home address. Two sons: Jim Haley, Mathis, Texas; Jess Haley, Roxana, fifteen grandchildren and a host of other relatives.
