GRAVETTE - George Francis Haley, 92, of Gravette, Ark., died March 27, 2015, at Siloam Springs Nursing and Rehab, Siloam Springs, Ark. Born Oct. 13, 1922, on a rural route in Gravette, he was the son of Francis Monroe and Fannie Effie (Duncan) Haley.

He married Crystal Rae Florer on Oct. 5, 1942, and they farmed in the Maysville area with dairy cattle and the family grape vineyard and apple orchard until 1968 when they moved to Gravette.

George was an agent for Farmers Mutual Insurance in Gentry and served as president of the board. He became manager in 1967 and retired in 1984. He also served on the founding board of the Gravette Hospital and was a member of the Bank of Gravette board.

He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed sharing his activities with friends and family. George and Crystal Rae were married just short of 70 years when she passed away in 2012.

He was also preceded in death by his brother, Rev. Tommy Haley.

Survivors include his son, Ross Haley Sr. and wife, Belva of Siloam Springs, and his daughter, Wilma Barnes, and her husband, Marty, of Cave Springs. He is also survived by a grandson, Ross Haley, Jr., and wife, Cindy of Russellville, a granddaughter, Shannon Terry, and husband, Jeff of Russellville, and a granddaughter, Haley Cox, and husband, Reuben, of Rogers. Also surviving are great-grandchildren, Derek Haley, and wife Megan, of Springdale, Karli Haley of Russellville, Spencer Terry of Russellville, Hannah Grace Terry of Russellville, Kalyn Cox of Rogers, and Kiley Cox of Rogers, and one nephew, Preston Haley of Rogers.

GRAVETTE — Crystal Rae Haley, 85, went home to be with the Lord on June 24, 2012, at Siloam Springs Nursing Center. She was born Nov. 18, 1926, near Gentry, Ark., in Cherokee Township to Albert and Beulah Florer. She married George Haley on Oct. 5, 1942, in Siloam Springs, Ark., and they farmed together near Maysville before moving to Gravette.

Crystal Rae was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, always putting the needs of others before herself. She was a member of the Maysville Bible Church and studied the Bible faithfully. She was known for her homemaking skills as an accomplished seamstress and a fantastic cook.

Crystal Rae is survived by her husband of nearly 70 years, George Haley of Gravette, one son, Ross Haley Sr. and his wife, Belva, of Siloam Springs; one daughter, Wilma Barnes and her husband, Marty. of Cave Springs, Ark.; three grandchildren, Ross Haley Jr., Shannon Terry and Haley Cox; five great-grandchildren, Derek Haley, Karli Haley, Spencer Terry, Hannah Grace Terry and Kalyn Cox; one brother, John Florer of Boulder, Colo.; and one sister, Alberta Walls of Santa Maria, Calif. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Otto, Aldo, Loyd and Herbert Florer; and one sister, Theda Mae Loux.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at Maysville Cemetery, Maysville, Ark., with Rev. Dan Crenshaw and Preston Haley officiating.
