Zeonia Haynes Wall, 94, of Crossett died Tuesday, May 8, 2012. Born on January 2, 1918, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Crossett, an avid gardener, quilter and reader. She and her late husband lived in Athens, TN, while he worked with the Bowater Paper Company, and after his retirement, they returned to their home in Crossett.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Lou Crisp and son-in-law John of Birmingham, AL; her son, William Gregory Wall and daughter-in-law Linda of Pensacola, FL; her granddaughter, Michelle Crisp of Hopkins, SC, a sister-in-law, Frankie Lou Haynes of Crossett; two brothers-in-law, Roy Wall and wife Betty of Ruston, LA and Bill Wall and wife Pat of Aurora, CO; her god-great-granddaughter, Michele Graham and her god-great-great-grandchildren, Cheyanne and Carson Reddish of Goose Creek, SC; great-granddaughters, Melissa and husband Rob Kizer of Houston, TX, and Jessica Alderman of Pensacola, FL; and several great-great-granddaughters; numerous nieces, nephews and, cousins and an extended family member, Suzanne Lattimore of Nashville, TN.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, James Marion Wall, Jr.; her son, James Marion Wall, III; her parents, William Smith Haynes and Abbie Lee; her brothers, Harvey, Howard, Henderson, Wiley, Jack, R.W., and Oliver Haynes, and a sister, Lelia Haynes Fleming.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 12, at Jones Funeral Home chapel in Crossett with Dr. Russell Moore officiating. Burial followed at the Carter Cemetery.
