Carroll Wall, 83, of Crossett died Tuesday, January 2, 2007, at Golden Living Center of Crossett. Born December 26, 1923, to Jim and Clara Carter Wall at Crossett Camp, he was a carpenter in the construction industry and a member of Magnolia Baptist Church. He loved to hunt and fish.
Survivors include one son, Dickie Wall and wife Louise of Crossett; three brothers, James Wall of Crossett, Billy Wall of Aurora, CO, and Roy Wall of Farmerville, LA; three sisters, Catherine Ford of Hot Springs, Gladys Duncan of Mesa, AZ, and Jimmie Ann Robbins of Onalaska, TX; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frankie "Dink" Wall; two sons, Dennis Lane Wall and Bruce Madison Wall; three brothers, Garland Wall, Travis Wall and Travis Smith; and three sisters, Polly Sullivan, Tommie Carter and Zelma Carter.
Funeral services were held Friday, January 5, at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett with Revs. Thad Douglass and David Pike officiating. Burial was at Carter Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mike Carter, Mike Harrison, Thomas Glen Childers, Lee Sullivan, James Owen Sullivan and Tony Blann.
Frankie Jean "Dink" Harrison Wall, 66, of Crossett died Monday, June 14, 1999, at the Ashley County Medical Center. Born June 18, 1932, in Crossett to Frank Daniel and Katherine H. Wright Harrison, she was a clerk and a member of the Magnolia Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Lane Wall. Survivors include her husband, Carroll Wall; two sons, Bruce Wall and Dickie Wall, all of Crossett; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, in the Jones Funeral Home chapel in Crossett with Rev. David Newberry officiating. Pallbearers were Johnnie Bolin, Gary Harrison, Daniel and Mike Chisholm, Steve Williams and Tony Blann. Honorary pallbearers were Herk Williams, Ralph Carter, Bo Chisholm and Billy Gammel. Burial followed services at the Carter Cemetery.
