Rev James J Vest husband of Delaney (Kent) Vest. James J Vest son of James Jackson Vest and Sallie Sarah (Harvey) Vest. James Kent was born in Morgan County, Alabama.

They were the first Vest laid to rest in the Vest Cemetery.
