CALICO ROCK - Dale Ewell Vest, 71, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 1998, in Calico Rock. Born April 19, 1926, in Boswell, he was the son of the late William Benjamin and Nona Banning Vest. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and sold hardware at a Farm Service Center.
Survivors include his wife, Magleen Moody Vest; a daughter, Karolyn McKinney of Birdman; three sons, Steve Vest of Marion, Stan Vest of Tampa, Fla., and Scott Vest of Little Rock; two stepsons, Mike Patterson of Pocahontas and Larry Patterson of Lawrence, Kan.; a sister, Bartie Gillihan of Boswell; a brother, Harlin Vest of Melbourne; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife and two brothers. The funeral began at 2 p.m. today at Eddie`s Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock. Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery. Pallbearers were Charles Rayburn Sneathern, Elvis Sneathern, Don Gillihan, Mark Jeffery and Charles Jones
