KIRKPATRICK, Annette - Mrs. J.W. Seamster received a message from John Kirkpatrick of Springfield, Mo. advising her of the sudden death of his sister, Miss Annette Kirkpatrick, who was visiting relatives in Indiana. The body is being shipped to Rogers for interment beside her mother and will arrive Wednesday night or Thursday morning, when arrangements for the funeral will be made, The Kirkpatricks were former well known residents of Rogers, Mr. Kirkpatrick having built two houses on Fifth and Maple streets. He lived in one and his sister and mother occupied the other. They have many friends here, a very near one being Mrs. Seamster, who will go to Springfield tonight and return with the family.

Miss Annette Kirkpatrick, born at Rushville, Ind. Sept. 17, 1868, died at Rushville, Ind. March 30, 1924. Her father died in 1910 and her mother in 1917 at Rogers. Miss Kirkpatrick came to Missouri from Indiana in early childhood and lived near Pierce City, Mo. until her father's health failed then moved to Rogers to be near Mr. John Kirkpatrick, but before the new house was completed the father died, leaving Miss Annette to care for her sweet frail mother and when the mother passed away Miss Anna lived with a brother, John Kirkpatrick, who had moved to Springfield from Rogers and helped care for his family. At her death she was spending the winter with an invalid aunt. So one can see that Miss Anne has spent her life in caring for others. She was the only daughter in a family of five, one brother, Ed, died three years ago and three brothers, John at Springfield, Frank at Pierce City and Will of Cashmere, Washington, survive her. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kirkpatrick, Mr. John Kirkpatrick and family, Arthur and Helen, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Webb; Mrs. Ed Kirkpatrick of Oklahoma City, Mr. and Mrs. John Stevens of Springfield, Mr. and Mrs. F. Spurgeon of Ft. Smith and Mrs. May Side of Aurora, attended the funeral. Miss Kirkpatrick was a member of the Christian church and had many friends. A life like her's, though quiet, was well spent in service. The funeral services were conducted yesterday at the Christian church of this city, Rev. Martin of the First Christian church at Bentonville officiating.
