Windle Edward WARD, age 85, of Damascus, Arkansas, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center, Laguna Hills, California.
He was born, April 26, 1923 in Bee Branch, AR, to Walter and Cinthia Ward. He married Wilma E. Payne on March 27, 1942 in Bee Branch.
Surviving are wife, Wilma, children, a son Dr. Gary Ward and daughter-in-law Dr. Marijane Ward of San Clemente, CA, a daughter, Linda French of Irvine, CA, and grandchildren, Melissa and Britney Ward of Irvine, CA and Dr. Samantha French and husband Michael Weller of Hermosa Beach, CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and three sisters and has many remaining beloved nieces and nephews. He also loved and was loved by the Payne Family.
Windle was a Charter Member of New Home General Baptist Church of Flint, Michigan and a member and Trustee of Ivan Court and First General Baptist Church of Flint, MI until returning to AR in 1981 to be with family and friends. Since then he has been a member of South Side Baptist Church, Damascus, AR. A man who loved and was devoted to God, family, friends and church.
