1854 - 1925
Aunt Mollie Ward was laid to rest at the Blackwell graveyard Monday April 6th, aged 70 years, 6 months, and 26 days. Her maiden name was Haney. She united with the Methodist church 54 years ago and lived a true christian life. She was united in marriage with I. K. Ward, (little Ike as we used to call him), Sept 28th, 1873. To them 11 children were born, eight surviving. She has 47 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren and one half-brother living. Aunt Mollie was loved by all who knew her and will be missed, but out loss is heaven's gain. We all deeply sympathize with Uncle Ike and are praying for the Great God to care for and sustain you in your old days. At her request funeral services were conducted by Rev. Chas Wood in the presence of the largest audience we ever saw assembled on such an occasion.
