Bertha Mae Alexander was born July 28, 1928, in Austin, Arkansas, through the union of the late Johnny Fuller and Mrs. Mamie Fuller.

She accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was baptized at an early age in Arkansas.

She attended public schools in Austin. In the early 1950's Bertha and her husband, Dalton, moved to San Francisco, California.

Bertha united with the St. James Baptist Church and was a faithful member of the Usher Board.

She was a healthcare worker at both the Public Hospital and Shriners Hospital. She retired rom Shriners Hospital in 1990.

Bertha relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, but still considered San Francisco as her place of residence.

Bertha was a very loving, caring and thoughtful person, but never too shy to speak her mind. She loved to cook and often made peach cobbler and sweet potato pies for her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Johnny Fuller; her mother, Mamie Fuller; two sisters, Alla Mae Reed and Mahalla Streets; her husband, Dalton Alexander, and great-aunt Mary Lipton.

Bertha is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Ann Nelson of North Little Rock, Arkansas; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a devoted companion, Jimmi D. Henry; three sisters, Barbara Jean Wilson of North Little Rock, Ardaulia Jackson of Lox Angeles, California and Patsy Jackson of Carlisle; an aunt, Mary Lipton; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren and dear friends.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.

Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 28, 2003, at Mt. Aratt Baptist Church Beebe, with burial in Beebe Cemetery by Westbrook Funeral Home.
