L. A. (BUCK) WASSON

Leon A. (Buck) Wasson, 71, Siloam Springs, died June 6 at Washington Regional Medical Center, Fayetteville. Born July 21, 1902 in Gentry, he was the son of A. G. and Mamie McGaugh Wasson, a member of the Presbyterian Church, and owned and operated Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs. He was a member of the Rotary Club, attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn., and held a number of high offices in the Masonic Lodge and related organizations. He was also a member of Northwest Arkansas Pioneer Families Assn.

Survivors include one son, Robert G. Wasson, Siloam Springs; one daughter, Mrs. Paul M. Davis, Memphis, Tenn.; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturady at 10 a.m. in Wasson Memorial Chapel.
