Alma Parsons
SPRINGDALE — Alma Parsons went to her heavenly home on March 21, 2011, from Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, due to a steady decline in health since the beginning of the year.
Alma was born April 18, 1930, in Tipton, Okla., to E.H. and Viona Parrott Curry. She was born again in the spring of 1940 by placing her faith in Jesus Christ. She was a quiet, caring lady who enjoyed serving Jesus, her family and others.
On May 25, 1951, she married Glenn Parsons. To this union were born four children, Rick, Sue, Rocky and Gina Lou.
She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Don, Calvin, Johnny, Max, Marion and Roylee Curry; and a daughter-in-law, Robyn Parsons.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn; son, Rick Parsons and wife, Carolyn, of Springdale, and their children, Wade Parsons of Greer, S.C., Luke Parsons of Tulsa, Okla., Emily Lewis and husband, Paul, of Fort Worth, Texas, Ellen Parsons, Marcus Parsons, Hannah Parsons, Laura Parsons, Neal Parsons and Jane Parsons, all of Springdale; daughter, Sue Taylor and husband, Lonnie, of Springdale, and their children, Luissa Boyer and husband, Jonathan, of Centerton, Suzanna Thylor of Springdale, and Tiffany Taylor of Mexico; son, Rocky Parsons and wife, Lisa, of Rogers, and their children, Jordin Early and husband, Brice, of Crestview, Fla., Joel Parsons of Chicago, Ill., Jozi Bouwers and husband, Devin, of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Jake Parsons of Rogers; daughter, Gina Lou Pritchard and husband, Terry, and their daughter, Grace Pritchard, all of Sulphur Springs, Texas; and four great-grandchildren, Ella Boyer, Cole Boyer, Reece Early and Peyton Early.
She is also survived by two brothers, Eddy Curry and wife, Carolyn, of Eureka Springs, and Jack Curry and wife, LaDonna, of Clovis, Calif.; a sister, Patsy Mhoon and husband, Carlton, of Fresno, Calif.; and a sister-in-law, Madelyn Curry of Springdale.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2011, at Heritage Funeral Home in Springdale. The family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Online messages may be sent to the family at www.heritageofnwa.com.
A celebration of Alma's life will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2011, at Fellowship Bible Church in Springdale with Pastors Cliff Palmer, John Glasser and Brad Arnold officiating. Burial at Friendship Cemetery will be private.
