W.C. Rogers
W. C. Rogers, 74, 504 Crestwood, Springdale, died Saturday at Springdale Memorial Hospital. He was born Dec. 21, 1901 in Faunsdale, Ala. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Springdale, where he had served as a deacon. He was a retired builder and real estate broker. He was formerly with Pittsburgh-Demoin Steel Company. He was later in the grocery business and was builder and developer.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Joye Cox Rogers, of the home; two sons, W. C. Rogers Jr., Des Moines, Iowa and Sam D. Rogers of Rogers; two daughters, Mrs. Anna Lea Petty, Springdale, and Mrs. Brenda Pianalto, Tontitown; a half-brother, Howard Tillman, San Jose, Calif.; and a half-sister, Mrs. Genevieve Bates, Salinis, Calif., 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday at Sisco Chapel in Springdale, with burial in Friendship Cemetery.
