Velma Blake

Velma Elizabeth Blake, 96, of Siloam Springs, died Thursday, May 13, at Siloam Springs.

She was born Nov. 16, 1896, at Missouri to William Rexroad and Nellie Coberly Rexroad. A homemaker, she was former co-owner of Blake's Bakery, Siloam Springs. A former resident of Gentry, she had lived in Siloam Springs since 1934. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women's Association, Women's Fortnightly Club, First United Methodist Church and Susannah Wesley Circle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Blake.

Survivors are a son, Garth Blake of Tallahassee, Fla.; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral is set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, with the Rev. William Cheyne officiating. Burial is to be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
