(from Mason Valley} Death has again entered our midst and taken the much beloved wife of Pryor Ketchum, which occurred at her home here at Mason Valley Tuesday morning of last week after a lingering illness of the dreaded disease, cancer. She had undergone an operation, received radium treatments at Kansas City and done all she could to regain health but the Master called her from among us. Pearl knew her days were short here so she arranged the funeral, told the songs she wished sung, also requested Rev. F.A. Rice, a former pastor here, to have a part in the services, also to assist in the singing. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Clarence Coffelt, pastor of the Mason Valley Baptist church, assisted by Rev. F.A. Rice, at 3 p.m. at Mason Valley. She was tenderly laid to rest in the Coffelt cemetery to await the resurrection morning. We extend our sympathy to the bereaved husband and an adopted daughter, Veloris, her father, J.B. Johnson, of this place, and a sister, Mrs. Ruby Bolton of California, and brothers.
