HOPKINS, Lydia A. PUCKETT - Mrs. William Oscar Hopkins died at her home in Neosho, Mo. on last Saturday, May 5th, following a short illness. Lydia A. Puckett was born in Indiana on August 25th, 1849 and was married to Wm. Oscar Hopkins on August 19th, 1870. To this union eight children were born, six of whom are still living. Funeral services were held in Neosho Monday morning, May 7th, at 10 o'clock after which the body was brought to Bentonville for burial in the K. of P. cemetery. She leaves surviving five daughters: Mrs. Grace Fields of Kansas City, Kansas; Lydia, Blanche and Viola Hopkins of Neosho, Mo. and Mrs. Faith Whitlock of Bentonville; and one son, Chas. S. Hopkins of Trinidad, Col., all of whom were with her when she passed away except the son who was unable to attend the funeral.

HOPKINS, Lydia A. PUTMAN - Mrs. W.O. Hopkins, who passed away at her home in Neosho on the afternoon of May 5th, was buried in the City Cemetery Monday afternoon by the side of her husband who died in January 1912 and her son. Lydia A. Putman was born in Indiana on August 25, 1849 and was married to W.O. Hopkins August 19, 1870. They went to Iowa to reside, later moving to Missouri, having made her home at Neosho the past 12 years. Mrs. Hopkins was a member of the Christian church. Her children surviving her are Mrs. R.S. Whitlock, this city; Misses Lydia, Blanche and Viola of Neosho; Charles of Trinidad, Colo. and Mrs. Fields of Kansas City, Kan. All were present at the funeral excepting her son, Charles. A short funeral service was held at the family home in Neosho Sunday afternoon and at the chapel in Neosho Monday morning. The service was conducted at the grave in the City Cemetery by the Rev. C. Cockrum Monday afternoon.
