Mildred Bailey
FAYETTEVILLE — Mildred Bailey, 86, of Fayetteville died Feb. 14, 2005, at Fayetteville Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born April 5, 1918, in the Zion community to Joseph R. and Rebecca Cordelia Lewis Ragsdale. She was preceded in death by her husband, Loy Arnold Bailey, and one great-grandchild. She was a homemaker and operated a home baby-sitting service and was a foster parent. She attended the Salvation Army Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher and was a member of the Women's Home League.
Survivors include four sons, Harold Bailey of Owasso, Okla., Joe Bailey of Fayetteville, Ken Bailey of Farmington and Frank Bailey of Fort Smith; one sister, Vivian Bailey of Fayetteville; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren: nine great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville with the Rev. Glen D. Faulkner officiating.
Burial will be in Zion Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Moore's.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 696, Fayetteville, 72702.
