PHAGAN, Martha A. MORRISON - Martha A. Morrison was born Feb. 9, 1830 at Belfast, Tenn. and died at her home near Bloomfield Feb. 17, 1920, aged 90 years and 7 days. She was a daughter of Andrew and Jane Morrison and a granddaughter of Gen. John Robinson. She was married to Maj. John Phagan March 4, 1854 at Double Springs, Ark. and to this union four children were born, Mrs. Ella Jay Wilson, Mrs. Ada Bruce Clegg, John Carson Phagan and James R. Phagan. She was baptised when an infant into the Presbyterian church and in 1870 united with the Methodist church. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. C.H. Sherman on the 18th at the home, after which interment was made in the family cemetery.
