GRAVETTE - James "Jim" William Watson, 78, a resident of Gravette, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012, in Bentonville. Jim was born in Pea Ridge on Jan. 21, 1934, to William Henry and Lena (Scott) Watson.

Jim served his country in the United States Army National Guard and received an honorable discharge.

Jim worked in security and he enjoyed fishing, water skiing, gardening, listening to jazz and spending time with his family, and he will be missed very much.

Preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Nancy Watson; and one brother, John Watson; Jim is survived by one son, James William Watson Jr. and wife, Shawna, of Oklahoma; one adopted son, Rik Watson of Missouri; five daughters, Sherri Wellbourne of Florida, Deborah Watson of Oklahoma, Karen Sidner and husband, David, of Oklahoma, Tiffany Watson of Missouri, Julane Watson-Bartley and husband, Dustin, of Bella Vista; eight grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. today, April 25, 2012, at the Bella Vista Community Church, 75 E. Lancashire Blvd., Bella Vista, AR 72714 with Dr. Anna Teel officiating.

Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Gravette with military honors.
