BELLA VISTA — Willard Lawrence "Larry" Watson, 72, of Bella Vista died June 30, 2008. He was born Nov. 30, 1935, in Enid, Okla., to the late Willard and Gladys Sieber Watson.
Mr. Watson was a 1953 graduate of Hennessey High School in Oklahoma and later graduated from Oklahoma State University with a business degree. He worked with his father at Watson Chevrolet in Hennessey, then worked for Merrill Lynch in Oklahoma City. Later, he was a trust officer with Arvest Bank in Bartlesville, after which he moved to Bella Vista in 1999. He was an amateur ham radio operator and was a member of the Bella Vista Ham Radio Club. He enjoyed fishing, camping and building and flying remote control airplanes. He was also an active member of the Bella Vista Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Carylon Watson; sons, Matthew S. Watson and wife Jennifer of Ashland, Ore., Christopher B. Watson of Katy, Texas; sister, Janice LaPorte and husband Curtis of Bella Vista; and grandchildren, Titus J. and Laurel E. Watson, both of Ashland.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today, July 2 at Bella Vista Church of Christ. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Bella Vista Church of Christ. Randall Caselman will officiate.
Memorials, in lieu of flowers, should be made to Bella Vista Church of Christ Mission Fund, or the American Heart Association.
Arrangements are by Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Rogers.
