SPRINGDALE — James "Lewis" Watson, 91, of Springdale died Dec. 8, 2002, at his home. He was born Nov. 21, 1911, in Newton County to Flemon and Annie Self Watson. He worked in agriculture throughout his life, including time with Harris Farms. He enjoyed hunting, gardening and beekeeping. He was a member of Shiloh United Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by two sons, James David Watson and Dennis Reese Watson; three grandsons; one granddaughter.

Survivors include his wife, Audrey Faye Reynolds Watson of the home, to whom he was married Feb. 21, 1931; four daughters, Virgie Howell and husband Omer of Farmington, Dena Jones of St. Louis, Mo.; Gussie Daugherty and husband George of Rogers and Cathy McKinney and husband Garry of Springdale; one brother, George Watson of Low Gap; five sisters, Nancy Sams and Lede Riley, both of Newton County, Ida Willis, Mae Neal and Nola Edgmon, all of Springdale; 17 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 29 great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sisco Chapel in Springdale with the Rev. Alvin Reynolds and the Rev. Jerry Henshaw officiating.

Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Gary Howell, James Howell, Jeff Howell, Ronnie Howell, Jack Minyard and Rick Minyard.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Daugherty, Sam Daugherty, Kenneth Howell and Dennis Perry,

SPRINGDALE — Audrey Watson, 94, of Springdale died March 20, 2009, at Northwest Medical Center-Springdale. She was born Feb. 3, 1915, in Newton County to James David and Myrtle Stacy Reynolds.

She was a homemaker and a member of United Baptist Church in Springdale.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Lewis" Watson in 2002, two sons; a daughter; four grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She is survived by three daughters, Virgie Howell and husband Omer of Springdale, Gussie Daugherty and husband George of Little Flock and Cathy McKinney and husband Garry of Springdale; 17 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; 84 great-great grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from noon to service time Tuesday at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Alvin Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.siscofuneral.com.
