Christian Christensen

Christian E. Christensen, 98, of Gentry, died Saturday, March 23, at Quail Ridge Living Center.

He was born Oct. 28, 1892, at Council Bluffs, Iowa, to Christen Jensen and Anna Marie Albertson Christensen. He was a cabinet maker and builder. He had been a resident of Gentry for the past 23 years, moving from Lincoln, Neb. He was a graduate of Danish Norwegian Theological Seminary in Hutchinson, Minn., and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Gently.

Survivors are his wife, Winifred Christenden; a son, Willard Christensen of Loveland, Colo.; a daughter, Betty Christensen of Silver Spring, Md.; two stepsons, Gary Durm of Arlington, Texas, and Larry Durm of Northridge, Calif; a stepdaughter, Sherry Entrikin of Durango, Colo.; a brother, Harold Christensen of Farmington, N.M.; three sisters, Hazel Baldwin of Sequim, Wash., Mildred Berry and Beulah Bakke, both of Woodland, Wash.; three grandchildren and nine stepgrandchidren.

Funeral is set for 11 a.m. Wednesday, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Gentry, with Glenn Hill officiating. Burial is to be in Gentry Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam. Springs.
