(from Larue) Elizabeth Dawson was born 1855 in Benton Co. near Larue. She was married to William McGinnis in 1874. To this union two children were born but only one is living. She professed faith in Christ when a young woman and has been a member of the Methodist church for years, being a faithful Christian until death. She died May 13, 1928 at the home of her son, Willie McGinnis. Funeral services were held at the Bland cemetery Monday afternoon. She leaves a host of friend and relatives to mourn her loss.
CC NOTE: When Beaver Lake was being built, several cemeteries were moved, with some remains re-interred in other cemeteries.
