A.C. Cody, age 88, of Perry, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2007. He was born October 29, 1919 in the Rose Creek Community near Casa, Arkansas, a son of Sam Houston Cody and Bertha Hamilton Cody. Mr. Cody was the widower of Iritha Moore Cody, a heavy equipment operator, avid fisherman, and of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his sons, Sam Cody and wife Pearl and Bill Cody and wife Robbie, all of Perry; daughter, Carol Jean Anderson of Perry; sister, Clotene Moore of Rose Creek; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers, Lonzo and George Cody, sister, Ruby Cody, and an infant daughter, Norma Joyce Cody.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 16, at Harris Chapel with Bro. Gene Tanner and Bro. Tom Allen officiating. Burial at McGhee Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends 7:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
