Jimmy Massey, age 78, of Floral, Arkansas died Saturday, July 11, 2009 in a Memphis hospital.
Born on December 22, 1930 in Batesville, he was the son of Desford Massey and Clyde Elizabeth Jordan Massey.
He was a retired Master Chief of the US Navy having served over 27 years.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Derene Gallaher Massey of Floral; one son, Jimmy Massey, Jr. of Oahu , Hawaii; two daughters, Linda Hartmann of Poquoson, Virginia and Debra Schneider of Charlotte, North Carolina; one brother, Charles Massey of Booneville, AR; one sister, Dot Massey Word of Atlanta, Georgia; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by is parents and two brothers, Lloyd Massey and Don Massey.
