Ruth Evans, 75, of Batesville died Saturday.
Born in Ocala, Fla., she was the daughter of George Washington and Martha Harvey Wade. She was a homemaker and a member of the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church on Hutchinson Mountain.
Survivors include four sons, David Evans of Hillister, Texas, John Evans and Ray Evans, both of Batesville, and James Evans of Newnata; three daughters, Betty Reeves of Bald Knob, Mary Benton of Searcy and Linda Candler of Athens, Ala.; 26 grandchildren; 55 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Waymon Evans; a son Willie Evans; a daughter, Eleanor Virginia Evans; a grandson, Mitchell Goodman; a granddaughter, Carol McGowan; and a great granddaughter, Jennifer Lee Goodman.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. W. T. Rider officiating. Burial will follow in Palestine Cemetery on Hutchinson Mountain with arrangements by Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
