Mabel Givens
PEA RIDGE — Mabel Givens, 88, of Pea Ridge died March 31, 2000, in Bates Medical Center at Bentonville. She was born Sept. 22, 1911, in Pea Ridge to John Thomas and Victoria Testerman Carden. She was a homemaker, a lifetime resident of the area and a member of the First Baptist Church of Pea Ridge. She was an avid University of Arkansas football and basketball fan. She married Herbert Lee Givens on July 28, 1928, and he preceded her in death in 1995.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Lee Adams and Charlie of Pea Ridge; one sister, Zoe Foster of Pea Ridge; one grandson, Mike Adams of Bentonville; two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge with pastor Al Fowler officiating. Burial win be in Pea Ridge Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
