Albert (Bart) Rodman

Albert Waymon (Bart) Rodman, of Oxford, Ark., son of Glenna Faye Melton Rodman and the late Albert Steven Rodman, was born Aug. 22, 1949, in Bandmill, Ark. He died March 18, 2008, at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home at the age of 58.

He was united in marriage to Billie Taylor on March 21, 1969, at Oxford. To this union two children were born. He was employed by Davidson Chevrolet for 25 years as an auto mechanic.

He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He attended Oxford Methodist/Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the VFW Post 4687 in Melbourne. Survivors include: his wife, Billie Rodman of Oxford; his son, Danny Rodman and wife Stephanie of West Plains, Mo.; daughter, Janeice Johnson and husband Donnie of Jonesboro; his mother, Faye Rodman of Bandmill; his grandchildren; Alexis Nicole Rodman, Chevy Dale Rodman and Keegan Thomas Johnson; his brother, Johnny Rodman and wife Ronna of Ward; sisters, Denise Schuler and husband Jim of Morrellton, Glenna Byrd and husband, San of Wideman, Debra Hage and husband Waymon of Mountain Home, Euna Faye Macks and husband, Chuck of Mountain home; sister-in-law, Vada Rodman of Viola; a brother-in-law, Gale Wooten of Gainesville, Mo.; many nieces; nephews and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by: one sister, Viva Gay McGinnis; two brothers, Earl Ray Rodman and Jimmy Steven Rodman; a nephew, Shane McGinnis; and his father.

Funeral services were held March 21 with burial in Oxford Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Cox Blevins Funeral Home of Salem
