Mrs E. C. Rodman Dies Suddenly

Mrs E. C. Rodman of Calico Rock died suddenly May 17 and her funeral was held Saturday, May 19 at the Calico Rock Methodist Church at 2;00 o’clock in the afternoon. Burial was in the Pineville Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband and one daughter, Mrs. Bruce Frizzell of Midland, Tex., one grandson and a brother, Earl Estes of Calico Rock.

Mrs. Rodman was the daughter of the late “Uncle Bill” Estes of Melbourne and grew up here.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Clarence Wilcox of Harrison and Rev. Willis LeGrand of Calico Rock. Arrangements were under the direction of Hall Funeral Home, Calico Rock.

Obituary

Mrs. Hattie Estes Rodman of Calico Rock, Arkansas, wife of E. C. Rodman died Thursday May 19, 1942. She was the daughter of the late William Karr and Nancy Estes and was born at Melbourne, Arkansas. She was a Baptist. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Bruce Frizzell of Midland, Texas, one grandson, Bruce Rodman Frizzell also of Midland, Texas, one brother, Earl T. Estes of Calico Rock, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday May 19 at 2 p.m. at the Calico Rock Methodist Church, with Rev. Clarence Wilcox of Harrison, Arkansas and Rev. Willis LeGrand of Calico Rock officiating. Organ music was played by Miss Willie Hill Matthews. Pallbearers were William R. Estes, Hayden Karr Estes, Kenneth Milburn, Don Milburn, Tip Wiseman and Andy Whitfield. Interment was made in the Pineville Cemetery under direction of the Hall Funeral Service.
