Earl Ray Rodman of Oxford, son of Faye and the late Albert Rodman, was born May 20, 1943 in Bandmill. He died October 9, 1995 in Batesville. He was 52.

Mr. Rodman was united in marriage to Vada Hutson October 11, 1968 in Wild Cherry. He worked 23 years for Freshour Construction Company. He was a veteran, a member of the American Legion and the Pleasant Grove Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Amy Henderson of Bandmill; and Holly Patterson of Salem; his mother, Faye Rodman of Bandmill; five sisters Euna Faye Max of Jasper; Glenna Byrd of Wideman; Debra Wooten of Calico Rock; Delta Johnson of Midway and Denise Schuler of Morrilton; two brothers, Wayman Rodman of Oxford and Johnny Rodman of Ward. He was preceded in death by his father, one brother, Jimmy and one sister Viva Gaye.

Services were held Wednesday, October 11 at Howard Chapel in Melbourne with Reverend Gale Wooten and Reverend Manual Max officiating.

Pallbearers were Billy Jean Dockins, Larry Owens, Gerald Blevins, Randall Reed, James Earl Dockins and Darrell Ball.

Interment was at Oxford Cemetery in Oxford under the direction of Howard Funeral Home in Melbourne.
