Rudell Geneva McSpadden age 90 died Friday, September 19, 2008 at the Pioneer Nursing and Rehab in Melbourne.

She was born on Sunday, February 3, 1918 to Henry Branson and Edna Martin Tatum in Oxford.

She worked for many years at the Tri County Shirt Factory in Melbourne. She was a hard worker. In her younger years she liked to travel to different places. She loved to go shopping for jewelry and clothing and afterward she liked to go to a nice restaurant to eat dinner. She enjoyed life and to the fullest. Sewing was one of her hobbies. She was a wonderful mother and to her children and grandchildren. She was always there when she was needed. She was a member of the Oxford United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Kermit Belk McSpadden and one brother Ermal Tatum.

Survivors include one son Gene McSpadden of Melbourne; two daughters Linda Boyd of Melbourne and Editha Phipps of Melbourne; eight grandchildren Kim Gillihan of Melbourne, Sergeant Michael McSpadden serving in Iraq, Gaila Holowell of Melbourne; Wayna Gunther of Melbourne, Misty Phipps of Wiseman, Tonya Crawford of Jonesboro, Debbie Harrison of Watts, Oklahoma and Danny McSpadden of Springdale; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside service will be Sunday, September 21, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the Oxford Cemetery with Rev. Bobby Coleman officiating.

Pallbearers will be Russell Sherrell, Randy Sherrell, David Sherrell, Billy Martin, Terry Dillard and Wayne Hopper.
