Bertha Gay McSpadden the daughter of Aubrey McSpadden and Willie (Kirks) McSpadden and stepmother, Edith Hatfield McSpadden.
Bertha Gay McSpadden, 78, of Little Rock, formerly of Mount Pleasant died Wednesday, June 24, 2009 in Little Rock.
She was born August 28, 1930 at Mount Pleasant, the daughter of Aubrey McSpadden and Willie (Kirks) McSpadden.
She was a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School and Capital City Business College.
She worked 34 years as a cashier at Campbell's 66 Express Truck Line. She was a strong, independent woman and was devoted to her family.
She is survived by a sister, Neva Wayman of Little Rock and a niece, Sandra Stafford of West Palm Beach, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Edith Hatfield McSpadden and brother, Garland Ray McSpadden.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 27, 2009 at Barren Fork Cumberland Presbyterian Church at Mount Pleasant.
Pallbearers are Odell Shaw, Remmell Conyers, Bill Givens, Roy Mynatt, Gerald Gaither, Donald Davidson and Paul Bray.
There will be no visitation.
