June Thompson, age 70, of Iuka, Arkansas passed away Saturday, March 19, 2011 at her residence. She was born December 6, 1940 in Calico Rock, Arkansas to Paul and Elsie (Havner) Moody.

Mrs. Thompson married Josh Thompson November 4, 1960 in Phoenix, Arizona. She worked for Baxter Lab for 20 years, retiring as a supervisor. She was a member of the Iuka Church of Christ.

Mrs. Thompson is survived by a son: Jay Thompson and wife Stacy of St. Louis, Missouri, three daughters: Jenay Mize and husband Kenneth of Mountain Home, Jana Anderson and husband David and Jill Irby and husband Cory all of Iuka, her mother: Elsie Moody of Iuka, three sisters: Joyce Pitchford and Pauline Moore both of Mountain Home and Bonnie Chandler of Iuka, a brother: Lewis Moody of Iuka, ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and father.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at the Iuka Church of Christ with Brother Noel Moore and Brother Jeff Howard officiating. A visitation will be Monday from Noon – 9:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Roller Funeral home Chapel. Interment will be in Moody Cemetery at Iuka.

Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home.
