Herschel born Pineville, Izard County, Arkansas died Gassville, Baxter County, Arkansas. Ruthie born in Izard County, Arkansas died Clinton, Henry County, Missouri.

Ruthie Jane Wood, age 54 of Warsaw, Mo., died Thursday, May 19, 1977 in Clinton, Missouri. She was born December 20, 1922 to William and Amanda Sanders Skidmore, was a housewife, a member of the Campground Presbyterian Church and a resident of Warsaw for 4 years, after living in Indiana.
Survivors include: her husband Herschel Wood of his home; 3 sons, Wayne Wood of Calico Rock, Ark., Mitchell Wood of Tell City, Ind., and Norman Wood of the home; 2 daughters, Deloris Hall of Calico Rock, Ark., and Neccica Wood of the home; her father, William Skidmore of Dolph, Ark.; 1 sister, Reathel Richardson of Price, Utah; 2 half-sisters, Ella Hogan of Cherry Valley, Ark., and Joyce Parnell of Norfork, Ark., and 6 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, May 22, 1977 at 4 p.m. at the Howard Chapel with Rev. Price Lovelace and Rev. Edwin Sain officiating. Burial was at the Campground Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Arthur Langston, Jay Dixon, Sid Skidmore, Troyce May, Vernon Neal and Ottie Russell.
Arrangements were made by Howard Funeral Home.
