Flora Mae McClain, 94, of Hamburg died Thursday, December 5, 2002, at the Ouachita County Medical Center in Camden. A native of Leaper, MO, a resident of the Egypt Community near Hamburg for 50 years and a resident of Camden for the past six years, she was a homemaker and a member of Cloverdale Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Maggie Nell McClain and Annie Mae Pennington and her husband, Levi, all of Camden; one daughter-in-law, Eloise McClain of Hamburg; seven grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arther "Red" McClain; one son, J.D. McClain; her parents, Alfred and Maggie Gurley Gilmore; two sisters, Flona Willis and Frankie Harden; and a granddaughter, Joyce Ann Stokes.

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 7, at 2 p.m. at Cloverdale Assembly of God Church with Rev. Winfield Piker and Rev. Justin Uselton officiating. Burial was at Egypt Cemetery under the direction of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home of Hamburg. Grandsons serving as pallbearers were Johnny McClain, Ray, Mark and David Pennington, John Scott and Gary Farmer. Honorary pallbearers were Ricky Nelms, Jimmy Craig, Morris and Harold Pennington and John and Roy D. Walton.
