ELLIOTT, Billie V HUMPHREY - Mrs Billie V. Elliott, wife of Floyd Elliott, died at the home of her father, Wm. Humphrey, in Garfield July 25, 1929 at the age of 28 years. Mrs. Elliott was born near Garfield in 1901 where she grew to womanhood. At an early age she joined the Churh of Christ and continued in its membership. In 1927 she was married to Floyd E. Elliott in Kansas City. Besides her husband and father she is survived by three sisters, Misses Beulah and Amy Humphrey and Mrs. Dolly Elliott of Kansas City.

{received from an out-of-state friend of the deceased} "Billie" {headline reads Vashti Willie Elliott} Humphrey was born at Garfield twenty-five years ago and passed away at that place July 25, 1929. She was the daughter of William and Laura Humphrey. Her childhood and youny womanhood were spent in Garfield. When twelve years of age Vashti became a Christian and was a loyal member of the Christian church at Garfield. She was ever faithful to her Saviour, a loving and devoted daughter to her parents, and a real home-maker for her husband. Two years ago she married a Mr. Elliott of Kansas City. She was ill only two weeks and expressed a wish to be brought to her father's home in Garfield but she only lived a few hours after her return. Besides her father and husband she is survived by three sisters, Misses Beulah and Amy Humphrey and Mrs. R.D. Elliott of Kansas City. She was buried by the side of her mother who passed away only a few months ago.
