Benton County Democrat
April 10, 1913
(from Highfill) Death again has entered our midst and taken the much beloved wife of Herschel Story, who died April 1st of tuberculosis. Her age was about twenty-four years. Ada Stephenson was united in marriage about four years ago to Herschel Story, which proved to be a happy union. Only one child was born to this union, Baby Kate, aged seventeen months, who will never know a mother's love. Mrs. Story was converted at the age of fifteen years and united with the Mason Valley Baptist Church and lived a faithful Christian life, never murmuring nor complaining during all her long sickness. She was bedfast about twenty-four weeks. All that loving hands could do for her was done. Her mother died six years ago and she kept house for her father until she was married. Another sister, Zella, died several years ago. She leaves besides her grief-stricken husband and daughter, a father, one sister, two brothers, besides a host of relatives and friends. Mr. Story desires to thank one and all who so kindly assisted in her sickness and death. She was tenderly laid to rest Wednesday evening in the Hoover Cemetery to await the resurrection morning. A Friend.
