Irvin Ezert Davis, 82, of Pocahontas, died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2006, at Randolph County Medical Center. He was born Aug. 11, 1923, in Maynard, a son of the late Jesse Edward and Malissa (Melton) Davis. He was an Army veteran of World War II (Purple Heart), and a member of the Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Wilma Viola (Gotthardt) Davis of the home; two sons, Billy Lee Davis of Imboden and Donnie Ray Davis of Maynard; a daugh­ter, Kay Inness of Stokes; a sis­ter, Wilma Evans of Pocahontas; six grandchildren; and two great­-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Arville Hill officiating. Burial followed in Washing­ton Cemetery near Maynard. Pallbearers were Tim and Gary Hicks, Jim Layton, Mark Evans, Brit Davis and Mark Davis.
