Pocahontas- William (Bill) Davis, 87, son of the late Oscar and Manervia Davis, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Five Rivers Medical Center.

He was preceded by his parents 2 brothers; Alvin and Leon Davis, and sister Faye Carter

He is survived by his wife Minnie Davis of the home. One daughter Cathy Thompson of McKinney, Texas, 2 granddaughters; Christy Lemay of Farmersville ,TX and Haley Presley of Scotland, United Kingdom, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Brother, Frank Davis of Walnut Ridge, three sisters; Stella Toye of Mena, AR., Dorothy Decker of Walnut Ridge and Irene Kerley of Pocahontas.

Visitation will be Monday From 5-7. Funeral service will be Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Frank Jento officiating.

Burial will Follow in the Masonic Cemetery.

Pallbearers included: Henry Dust, Bob Wren, Keith Sutton, Lance Lamb, Steve Davis, Joey Lemmons, Jim Counts, and Butch Pender.

Minnie Jane Davis - McNabb Funeral Home
December 29, 1927 - September 6, 2020

Minnie Jane Davis, 92, of Pocahontas, passed away Sunday, September 6, at Randolph Home.

She was born December 29, 1927 in Los Angeles, CA to Guy Lemmons and Fannie Ivy Lemmons.

Minnie retired from Pro Group in Pocahontas and had many friends from that time in her life. Prior to that, she worked at Brown Shoe factory and owned and operated a grocery store in the Fender community.

She enjoyed her family, friends and her flowers. She will be remembered for her quick wit and her colorful 'Minnieisms', many of which will be used for years to come by her family and friends.

Minnie was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Bill Davis; her parents, Guy and Fannie Lemmons; two brothers, Joe Lemmons and Edward (Squirt) Lemmons; one sister, Billie Sue Lemmons Pender; two nieces; and one nephew.

She is survived by one daughter, Cathy (Richard) Thompson of McKinney, Texas; two granddaughters, Christy LeMay of Princeton, Texas and Haley (Stephen) Presley of Louisville, Kentucky; 8 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; 13 nieces; 5 nephews; and many friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 10, 2020, from 10-11 A.M. in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 A.M. at the Masonic Cemetery in Pocahontas with Nelson Henderson officiating.

To follow the directives of Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, masks covering the mouth and nose are required for all persons in Arkansas for all indoor and outdoor settings, with exposure to non-household members where social distancing cannot be assured. Those attending will also be asked to sign a contact registry and maintain a social distance.
