Nolen Elmo Harness,89, formerly of Leslie died February 28, 2005 at High Point, NC. He was a resident of Westchester Manor in High Point.
He was born Aug. 1, 1915 in Flag, AR to Sparlin L. and Nancy Smith Harness. He was a World War II veteran having served in the U.S. Navy. He was Manager of Voss Hutton Barbee Parts store in North Little Rock. In retirement he farmed and raised cattle on his farm near Oxley, Ar. He was a member of the Leslie First Baptist Church and served as deacon and Sunday School Superintendent. He belonged to MIley's Cove fLodge #524.
He was preceded in death by wife Opal and brother Gerald. Survivors are son Robert and wife Patricia Harness of High Point; daughter Suef Nunnally of El Paso , Texas; granddaughters Karen Blaylock and husband Patric, Barbara Harness, grandsons; Dr. Kent Nunnally and wife Karen, James Pl Harness, Paul Harness and wife Angie, and nine great grandchildren.
Services are Sunday 2 PM at Leslie Frist Baptist Church with Wylie Hardin officiating. Burial is in Elberta Cemetery. Visitation is Sasturday 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
