John Malcolm Rogers, 63, a retired farmer, died in Arcadia, La., Thursday morning. He was born in Junction City, La., the son of John and Mattie Wise Rogers. Survivors include seven sons, Wayne Rogers and Paul Rogers, both of El Dorado and John Rogers, Donald Rogers, and Lloyd Rogers, all of Junction City, Maurice Rogers of Los Angles, Calif. and Preston Rogers of Gibsland, La.; five daughters, Mrs. J. D. Greer of Haynesville, La., Mrs. J. H. Meadows of Shreveport, La., Mrs. Buddy Burton of Crossett, Mrs. Winfred Griffin and Mrs. Jerry Blackman both of Junction City; and two brothers, J. L. Rogers of Minden, La., and F. W. Rogers of Austin, Tex. Funeral services will be held at Three Creeks Baptist Church at 10 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. George Fletcher and the Rev. Tommy Mellinger officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be D. D. Norris, Fred Jones, Dewitt McGoogan, Paul Greer, John Tatum, Matt Martin, Bobby Goza and James Hooper. (El Dorado Times - December 1, 1967)
