Funeral services for Gerald Lee Rogers, 73 of El Dorado will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 29, 2014 in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Nathan Dupree and Rev. William Carter officiating. Interment will be in the Pate Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, El Dorado.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 28, 2014, 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Rogers was born February 4, 1941 in El Dorado to the union of Lit Rogers and Berdie Slaughter Rogers and passed away Friday, December 26, 2014 at his home.
He was a retired salesman and painter, and was a member of Pentecostal Faith Church. Mr. Rogers loved to study his Bible, and was an avid hunter.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years; Nancy Rogers of El Dorado, a daughter; Carol Ann Rogers of El Dorado, a son Randall Rogers of Lawson, a sister; Nellie Pittman of El Dorado, 2 grandchildren; Justin Rogers and fiancé Tristan Martinius of Lawson and Grace Rogers of El Dorado.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother; George Rogers
