Nora Lovelace Dies At Pineville

Nora Leona Lovelace of Pineville, was born December 16, 1886 at Iuka. She was the daughter of the late J. F. and Rachel Drown. She was the oldest of 15 children. She departed this life Apr. 24 at the age of 75 years, 4 months and 8 days.

On April 28, 1909 she was united in marriage to Jeff T. Lovelace at Pineville. To this union were born seven children, two of whom preceded her in death. Mrs. Lovelace accepted Christ early in live and was a member of the Wise's Chapel Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Jeff Lovelace, three sons, Cyril of the home, Price of Pineville, and Raymond of Kansas City, Mo.; two daughters, Mrs. Opal Blakeslee, Oklahoma City, Okla.; and Mrs. Lola Moser of Dolph; seven brothers, Steve Drown of Calico Rock, Frank of Oklahoma, City, Charley of Torrance, Calif.; Troy of Ardmore, Oklahoma; Roy of Batesville; Stanley of Pineville; five sisters, Mrs. Elsie Forrister, Wild Cherry; Mrs. Cora Jennings, Mrs. Essie Huston, Mrs. Maude Majors and Mrs. Emma Morgan all of Pineville.; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held at Wise's Chapel Church April 26 at 2:30 P.M. with Elder E. S. Perky of Cave City, assisted by Elder Leroy Porterfield of Wiseman. Interment was made in Wise's Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Hall Funeral Service.

(Note: The obituary mentions seven brothers but only list six. The brother that was not named was Thomas Jefferson Drown who died in 1978.)
