Willis Swift Simpson, 74, former resident of the Pea Ridge and Bentonville area, died Saturday morning in a Houston, Texas, hospital. He was born April 17, 1904, at Hagler, Ark.
He was a retired rice farmer and a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors are five sons, Lawrence R. Simpson of Bull Head, Ariz., Lloyd C. Simpson of Topeka, Kans, George W. Simpson of Vaughn and Joe M. Simpson and Robert L. Simpson, both of Bentonville; six daughters, Mrs. Edith Hagstrom of North Lake, Ill., Mrs. Christine Miller and Mrs. Elizabeth Hill, both of Texas, Mrs. Ruht Brown of Rogers, Mrs. Laura Westerlund of Ashland, Wisc., and Mrs. Mary Ann McBryde of Berryville, Ark.; a sister, Mrs. Etta Davis of Stuttgart; four brothers, Fred, Earl, Dot and William R. Simpson all of Stuttgart; and numerous grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Burns Funeral Chapel in Bentonville. Burial will be in Twelve Corners Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. in Burns Chapel in Bentonville.

Bentonville — Mrs. Ollie May Simpson, 64, of Bentonville, died Sunday in McGehee. She was born at Hegler.
Survivors are the husband, Willis S. Simpson of the home; six sons, Lawrence of Bentonville, Lloyd of Lyndon, Kan., George of Vaughn, Joe of Joplin, Mo., Robert of Rogers and Paul H. of McGehee; six daughters, Mrs. Edith Hagstrom of North Lake, Ill., Mrs. Christine Miller and Mrs. Elizabeth Hill of Houston, Tex., Mrs. Ruth Brown of Rogers, Mrs. Laura Westerlund of Ashland, Wis. and Mrs. Mary Ann McBride of Garfield; two brothers, Aaron and Raleigh Green of DeWitt; one sister, Mrs. Sallie Thompson of Pine Bluff; 34 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Twelve Corners Baptist Church with burial in Twelve Corners Cemetery under direction of Burns Funeral Home.
